This site is dedicated to the memory of Sandra Cruz.

Sandra Cruz was born on October 04, 1950. She is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family. 5 months ago, Sandra was suppose to fly to New York from Texas to visit her daughter and granddaughter bringing along her 90 year old mom and older son. Unfortunaly with prescription drug abuse that runs in the family, she took her sons medication. We will never know if it was accidentally or on purpose. But if she just wanted to maybe get a good night sleep why take heavy prescription medication? The next morning Sandra's mother found her in a deep sleep and not responding to anyone around her. The ambulance was called and she was rushed to the hospital. She fell into a coma for the next 5 months. With family trying to talk to her to wake up and other family members trying to talk to her by phone she only opened her eyes and moved her head to the sound of whoever was trying to communicate with her. She also caught MRSA from having a feeding tube inserted in her. With the family suffering day and night praying she would get better APS (Adult Protective Services) took Sandra away from the hospital to a nursing home without acknowledging any family members with Sandra then caught anomonia. APS "felt" that no one was taking care of Sandra without knowing that her son and other daughter was there day and night taking care of her. While the nursing home kept her there, her son with a masters degree signed up for a petition and hired a lawyer to fight to get Sandra back home under the only people who knew how to take care of her. And that was her family. Sadly we didn't get enough time to fight cause on March 15, 2013 Sandra passed away. Our family will no longer be the same. We all are aching so badly and feel as if we will never be ourselves again. We know she is in good hands and in my opinion she is no longer suffering. She is loved by many and will NEVER be forgotten! We love you so much Sandra "Wea". <\3
